The exhibition presents images created in situ at the Kunming Botanical Garden during a residency organized with the support of the Consulate General of France in China and the Institut Français in May 2026. Located at the heart of a global biodiversity hotspot, the Kunming Botanical Garden brings together species from highly contrasting environments. Based on a selection made in collaboration with its scientists, the project imagines their speculative doubles on Kunminga Gemina, a fictional exoplanet designed as a mirror of the garden. Subjected to different conditions—gravity, light, and atmosphere—these plant forms transform, adapt, and reveal new architectures.
